On the inside, she carries invisible disorders that warrant the use of a cane or other mobility aids.

It is difficult and emotional to explain. I am a bystander to the public's reactions to this visual wherever we go. The appearance of a healthy young woman but using a cane?

It is disheartening seeing the reactions, with all that is known in this world about conditions that don’t show, awareness campaigns everywhere on the rise, and new understandings always coming to light in the scientific world and constantly hitting the media.

How is it that a young woman using a cane can still garnish looks of disbelief and disapproval?
