Book Cover Illustration & Design
I designed a book cover for "Lisa See - The Silk Fan" as a free initiative work.
The novel tells the story of a Chinese female friendship in the 19th century. The two meet as young girls and experience the ancient tradition of foot binding (lotus feet) together. To keep in touch, they exchange messages via a fan that travels back and forth between them. The technical realization was done using mixed media technique. The collaged components are drawn with watercolor and Polychromos colored pencils.
