A while back I thought to myself “What would it look like if I made a bunch of creature designs for a monster catching game on the Nintendo Gameboy Color?” The answer is Battle Buds! A fake Gameboy game that has a Monsterpedia with a total of 152 monsters for you to catch.
The Gameboy Color was capable of rendering games with preprogrammed color palettes of 4 colors each, so in the spirit of that I only allowed myself to use a single color palette per creature. Below are the results!
