In a series of drawings I am working on the constant movement of travel. For example, when I went to university from home, I made a route map on Google Maps and saved it as a screenshot on my phone. In addition to the metadata, the image also showed a digital route map. I got on the 75 trolleybus, used a touch pencil on my tablet to start drawing: I just placed the pencil in my hand on the screen, letting the trolley and the road conditions control my movements. I paired the resulting jumbled line drawings with a simplified route drawing from the screenshot. I’ve been making the drawings for months, on various public transport modes and sections.
This series is also in sync with my current life situation. After finishing university I have less and less time to create, therefore I use the time I spend on public transport to make art.
