18th Birthday Party Invitation and Props

The 18th birthday signifies a stage of adulthood practiced by many cultures. This is the coming of age, the start of freedom, independence and extended rights as an adult, thus it is often celebrated in a more special manner.

While most debut celebrations are done in hotels, we opted to organize this event in a medium sized restaurant for a more personalized touch which also gave us the leeway to customize the place according to our desired concept.

The wizard concept is unusual for a debut party but it was chosen because the Harry Potter books have been a significant part of the debutant's childhood. This presents an opportunity to have an unconventional theme, fun and exciting in which the guests could also participate in —The guests were asked to come in their favourite wizard costumes.

A large vertical banner where guests signed as they enter the venue, this replaces the conventional guest book.

— Awards —

the highlight of the event is the participation of the guests in costumes. As incentive, awards were announced to be given out during the party. The awards were named after the wizards and the categories were designed to link with the wizard's character.

— List of Spells —

Copies given out as fun item which the guests can use as they wait for the program proper.

— Table Number —

The venue was completed with party details and paraphernalias in sync with the theme.

— Cakes —

A custom made 12" cake and mini cupcakes were designed for the theme. The sugar thunderbolts for the cake toppings, silver coated fondue decorated with pearl trimmings and scattered glittery accents gave a magical finish.

— Give-aways —

Specially designed necklaces with stars and moon pendants were given out to female guests as souvenirs. Each piece was ingeniously packed in a velvet purple pouch with a thunderbolt foil stamp.
