Career Gamification | Liberty University | '14

Hundreds of thousands of college students graduate each year and are caught off guard by the fact that employers expect them to have more than just a shiny new degree.  The purpose of this project is to encourage our university students to pursue professional development activities while they're in school that will make them more marketable once they graduate.
Weekly Promotional Example

A large part of gamification's appeal is the psycho-social aspect of sharing and challenging each other.  This image was a mockup of one way our Career Center could facilitate this process.  Each week a student who excels can be highlighted on the TV outside of our office.
Physical Passport Solution

Sixteen badging pages were created for an initial printed passport.  Because a web-based solution wasn't a viable option when we first got started, we created a printed booklet for students to record their accomplishments.  A space is set aside on each page for our office's stamp to confirm the goal was completed.
Web-based Solution

Below is a webpage mockup designed to help communicate to the school's directors what a web-based solution can look like (as opposed to the print solution above).  This design will most certainly need modification as the school's IT department has not shared their tools' abilities/limitations yet.
Slidestack PowerPoint Template

Here's one last resource created to help communicate the supporting research, purpose, and goals of the career gamification program.
