Hiking Ukonome Creek on the Klamath

This is one of my favorite hikes along a river.  Ukonome creek is an adventure.  We had to hike up along a rock wall.  Then drop down and cross the creek.  From there we hiked up ledge side trails, through the creek itself.  Then towards the end we had to swim up a narrow channel with cliffs on both sides.  The pay off a beautiful waterfall with a big swimming hole.  Due to the drought the water was also a warmer temperature which made it easier to swim the channel and enjoy the pool below the waterfall.

The photos were taken with our Lumix waterproof camera so they aren't great.  The advantage is I can swim with it and not worry about it getting wet.
