These were the qualities that defined Lucy Liu's depiction of the movie villain O-Ren Ishii from Quentin Tarintino's Kill Bill.
O-Ren is first on my hit list of portrait movie villains - an ongoing portrait series of iconic film protagonists.
As with the majority of my musician portraits, I also create a Spotify playlist based on their discography to compliment the piece. However, because Oren is obviously a movie character, I instead chose songs that were inspired by her character and film soundtrack.

Part of the process was rechecking the source material (key scenes from Kill Bill) to make sure I got Oren's overall look right.
