The new STEM Building will be located on the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNTD) campus in Dallas, Texas sited east of Founders Hall and south of the Student Center.
The new STEM Building will feature flexible teaching and collaborative research laboratories, active learning classrooms, administrative space, and informal gathering spaces. The project scope also includes renovations to existing laboratories in Founders Hall including modifications to laboratory spaces to complement anticipated programs in the new STEM Building.
The proposed building will house instructional spaces including general purpose “high-flex” learning 25 and 50 seat classrooms, instructional labs supporting Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Upper-Level Chemistry. The building will also include research facilities:  Wet Labs for Biology, Chemistry and Chemistry/Biology. Support spaces will include an Instrumentation Room, Cold Room, and a Darkenable Room.  A café, pre-function, and large divisible 200-250 seat classroom/ meeting space is desired on the ground level, with a variety of collaboration spaces dispersed throughout the building. 
HarrisonKornberg served as the associate architect, with collaboration from prime architect Stantec.
