For this project, I was tasked to create a product based on a simple box of my choosing. I chose to do the product on hamster treats. I was inspired by my recent designing of a font in my typography class, named Chubby Hamster. I used this font I created as the logo. I another thing that was a key aspect of this idea was that I own two roborovski dwarf hamsters. I decided to base it off specific toys they like to play in as well as the type of treats they enjoy eating. I created a fun and cute pattern to display the various fruits that roborovski dwarf hamsters can enjoy in moderation. I thought that this product brought a fun and loving vibe to hamster treat packaging.
The challenges I faced while creating this die line was the various details and ideas that I wanted to use had to go together in a smooth and clean way. The colors were also a key thing to incorporate in my final vector. I used illustrations of hamsters and the things they play on in there enclosure to bring the overall mood to the die line. The expression of the hamster is smiling and having a good time. I also used the colors that were bright and cheery for the heart treats.
