Facial reference sheet for my original characters Barbie (Barbara Thomas) and Mordecai Gelb. My first time ever creating a tool to keep my own designs consistent throughout my art and it has been of great help.
It also helped me realize I have an easier time when I have a space to figure out the design before trying to contextualize it through mood and gesture, then making the necessary changes from there.
