This interactive animation was a class assignment in which were were asked to select a surgical procedure and visually explain in a simple, yet trustworthy and serious fashion. The project was completed with heavy use of gradient meshes and the implementation was done in Flash utilizing some ActionScript for navigation.
The interactive was aimed to be used by health specialists who would show the surgical procedure to possible patients, while discussing risks and safety factors but without showing unnecesary -shocking- details that can be seen in recorded footage.

The style strived for a minimalist look with an unclutered interface and slow transitions for the animations. As well as realistic renderings of the diferent textures such as metal and bone.
SSeveral tests and proposals were designed to achieve the desired look & feel for the animation.
