Imagine being trapped on top of a mountain in the middle of jungles, freezing cold, with incessant rain, a deep valley on one side, no food, no water to drink, no outside help, and no shawls or sweaters?
Every day, there are people dying next to you, and you are with those bodies!
That too for more than 120 hours.
Looks like something from a movie or a story? Sadly, this was the reality of how nearly 1,000 people survived.
REFERENCE BOARD
All of the research was done by us with full interest. We wanted to be sure about all the information and facts we shared. Kedarnath Tragedy 2013 is still an emotional topic for a lot of humans so we wanted to try our best to not trigger any of the wounds.
We did a lot of thumbnailing and storyboards while finalizing the animatic.
VISUAL DEVELOPMENT
Its been 10 years and there are some people who question going to kedarnath even now …

Working on the animatic was really interesting from the sound part as well. Sound Design is something I thoroughly enjoy and want to learn more about it.
I've always been vocal about my connection with 'Devbhoomi- Uttarakhand'. So, I personally was very keen to understand the topic as well as take it further but sadly it didn't work out for us because of the project requirements.
After completing the animatic me and my team decided to work on a different topic. though this still is very close to our heart. Someday for sure, we're gonna work on it again and make an informative documentary with animation as a medium.
