PITCH
Sabia est une expérience audio-visuelle performative se jouant en duo basé sur l’échange de savoir. L’un observe l’univers retraçant l’évolution entre primitif et technologique tant dit que l’autre, exécute les commandes en reproduisant des gestuels rituels. Cette installation vise à une réflexion sur la notion d’animisme afin d’étudier les rapports intimes que l’on peut entretenir vis-à-vis de nos objets rituels hybrides du quotidien, à la fois mécanique, électronique et technologique. 

Un parcours en trois phases menant à l’extase !





COSTUME DESIGN - CHARACTER DESIGN

The virtual space is accessible only from the perspective of the costume, aided by a filter, which enhances the intimate connection to the shaman/experimenter and their mental spaces. The human-sized costume, serving as a "second skin," personifies the deceased shaman. The user is encouraged to "integrate" or "put on" the costume to visualize and transcribe the information that comes to them on the screen. The desired mysticism of the piece is emphasized by its suspension in space, with lights intensifying the sense of absence.
The design of the costume aimed to be a subtle blend of tribal and technological-mechanical elements, created from recycled materials. We sought textiles and objects with a history, so we turned to flea markets and thrift stores of all kinds.











Controllers and informational panels related to interactivity

Implementation of a control interface where the player, external to the visual space, can manipulate components (sliders, potentiometers, buttons, branches) to trigger the required interactions in the application, thus unlocking the next steps. An informational panel displays the symbols present in the application along with the corresponding gestures to be applied.








APPLICATION


The visual aspect of the project aims to immerse the user in a dreamlike universe, traversing three distinct stages that form an ascent with the goal of reaching the ecstatic state of shamanic trance. These stages represent mental states in environments that weave the connection between nature and the digital, sometimes blending and at times contrasting. Elements within the application can be manipulated and animated in real time through various interactions, causing the digital environment to undergo a series of visual changes and modifications. All these alterations are made with the purpose of "bringing to life" what is initially a static creation through the use of textures, shaders, lights, animations, and movement
