Da I Zwischen unfolds as a series of vibrant visualizations and innovative strategies, painting new possibilities in an area where empty spaces have taken root. Our goal is to breathe life back into these spaces while keeping a keen eye on sustainability. Focused on the stretch along Bischofsnadel Street (53°04'37.6 "N 8°48'40.2 "E), our approach kicks off with engaging artists to transform conventional garage spaces into canvases for vibrant murals.
Simultaneously, we reimagine the interiors of these garages, transforming them into dynamic venues for temporary events like workshops, flea markets, concerts, gastronomy, and open-air cinema.

The second strategy involves a radical transformation - the installation of islands along the street, strategically designed to decelerate traffic flow and provide a dedicated space for immersive experiences and social interaction. These islands comprise modular elements serving various purposes, including green spaces, bicycle parking, seating areas, and gastronomic furniture, fostering a multifunctional and inviting streetscape.
Together, these strategies form a dynamic tapestry, weaving vibrancy and vitality back into the heart of the city of Bremen. The aim is to prioritize people over cars again and to transform the street space into a living and permissive space.

Da l Zwischen was exhibited and presented for the first time at the project exhibition of Interspace - die Nachhaltige Stadt. The exhibition offered an experience and interaction to the visitor, it consisted of the presentation of the area to intervene marking the different activities that are proposed as strategies, modules to scale exemplifying the design concept of the islands.
