Journey to the West, considered one of the four great classics of China, is not simply a saga about fighting monsters, but is a masterpiece of Shinma(God vs Monster) novel that fully incorporates religion, mythology, and philosophy. It depicts the story of four people, Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing, who defeat various monsters they meet on their way to Seocheon(the land of the South) to obtain the true scriptures and return after obtaining the true scriptures. 중국의 4대 기서 중 하나로 꼽히는 서유기는 단순히 요괴와 싸우는 무용담이 아니라 종교, 신화, 철학이 온전히 녹아 있는 신마소설의 걸작이다. 삼장법사, 손오공, 저팔계, 사오정 네 사람이 서천에 진경을 얻으러 가는 도중에 만나는 각종 요괴를 물리치고 진경을 얻어 돌아오는 이야기를 그렸다. 서유기의 장대한 이야기를 한눈에 볼 수 있도록 인포그래픽에 담았다
