A true artist: Haluk Akakçe
Haluk Akakçe, born in Ankara in 1970, was a prominent Turkish artist known for his groundbreaking work in video installations and large-scale interactive relief drawings. Drawing inspiration from Matisse and Russian Constructivism, Akakçe explored the impact of technology on human perceptions of time and space. His art, showcased in renowned institutions worldwide, featured a unique blend of organic and geometric forms, often incorporating butterflies as symbols of the human spirit. In October 2023, Haluk Akakçe bid farewell to mortal life in Istanbul.
