INTRODUCTION:
C-VILLAGER is a concept store opened in urban areas in the form of pop-up stores. By the medium of food, it offers a chance for citizens to experience the way that people in urban villages live. While relying much on grass- root labors, citizens still have prejudice on them. As a particular group, village in the city is not a part of city or country, but is a combination of urban and rural areas. People living in the city village have long been looked down upon by citizens for their poor environment. Citizens are reluctant to get to know about them, though they rely much on them to take them as cheap labors. Actually, they are indispensable to a city’s development. Therefore, both people in the city villages and their living conditions are worthy of our attention. In this project, villages in the city of Shenzhen as well as villagers living there will be surveyed.
