These tarot-themed semiotics flashcards and their box were made in a group project for the Understanding Form and Context (FA/DESN1002 M) 1st-year class at York University in the graphic design undergraduate program. The task was to create a set of 10 flashcards that represented various semiotics terms. The set also had to have a theme that was connected to post-pandemic life. My group chose spirituality and tarot cards and created the Semiotica Ascension Tarot Deck. Heavily inspired by celestial bodies as well as modern interpretations of tarot cards, this deck is an elegant and refined way to learn about semiotics.
