Art Hive Virtual Tour

This final project for ASU's GIT 445 360 Production class involves making a professional virtual tour. The requirements were to create a complex, professional-quality virtual tour
with 15+ scenes/photos, intuitive and functional navigation, and clear labels/hotspots/transitions/etc.

I chose a new local business to showcase with the hopes of drawing more customers. There were a few challenges with the production. I had to go to the business at least four times to try to get shots without any people in them. I had been consulting with the owner about the slowest times when the shop was most likely to be empty, but someone would always come in. Not a bad problem to have for the business, though! I finally got the owners to stay late one night, but even then the employees would actually get in my shots! I think many people don't realize that 360 images pick up EVERYTHING.

Other challenges were getting the correct version of Photoshop to be able to create panoramas and keeping the images to 8 bit in order to use some of Photoshop's cloning tools.

The outside shots were a bit challenging because we had high winds and my monopod was not very stable so I ended up putting a heavy bag at the base. Therefore, increasing the area that needed to be cloned out.

Overall, the business was extremely happy with the results and are hoping to use it to promote an upcoming event.
