Kia Ora, I'm Laura Maxwell
a first year Bachelor of Design/ Bachelor of Commerce conjoint student at the University of Auckland.
I have come into the design course with interest specifically in communication/ graphic design, specifically that which is created for businesses and products such as packaging, logos, advertisements and more.
Below is a poster I made in my free time in order to 'break free' from my usual design style which often includes cute characters, colour blocking and bright colour palettes to a certain extent.
I often find that inspiration comes from all around me whether it be design out in the wild, a piece of fanart I saw while scrolling on Twitter or even a photography, I feel that I draw from elements that stand out to me. I especially love the design of KPOP albums with the aspiration to design, shoot or conceptualize for any one of my favourite groups.
