¿How is Alexa Vargas?
I’m very curious and I like to try new things. During the pandemic, I learn how to tattoo and tattoo some of my friends, even my mom. I also learn how to make ceramics and now I love making cups and flowerpots for my house.
I consider myself a design enthusiast, I try to include my illustrations in most of my projects. I adore drawing and take a lot of pride seeing my designs in stickers, cups, hoodies… anything really. I’m always learning new techniques and try to update myself with the new applications like AI.
I studied graphic design at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana and graduated in 2018. I worked at Mundo Ejecutivo Magazine and the POSH agency as an advertising designer. I entered Pepsico in 2021.
I currently work in sales communications and recognition where I design and collaborate in the making of the communication newsletter and contests for the Salesforce; where I work on the materials proposals, make the copys and the designs. I also organize some of the regional contests that we have. Some of my most notable works are:
Branding of the E-motion Vans for the Women’s Talent Acquisition National Project in the sales force.
POP materials for some internal events like the sales and clients’ conventions.
All the materials for the “Soy Yo” and “E-motion” campaigns, and important dates like “Breast Cancer month” or “Women’s Day”.
I was the project manager for the Photographic restock, where we took pictures and videos of the salesforce which we use in our campaigns and most of our communications. We manage to gather more than 500 photos and more than 150 clips.
During these 3 years in Pepsico I have learned a lot. I have improved my communication skills to make the contents and copys of our campaigns. I also understand how to work with different suppliers whenever we need to print or make physical materials.
In the future, I expect to continue learning and develop my skills. Right now I’m level intermediate in English and want to keep on improving. My goal in this company is to one day créate the packaging of some products from Sabritas or Gamesa.
