Untitled (Volume and Plane) Sculpture (2024)
Mazopal Design, Mardline Prevot
Materials

Description: A sculpture, composed of repurposed materials like CD fragments, cardboard, sunglass lenses, recycled CD cases, and even fake ice, rests on a stark black base. Its jagged edges define a circular
form, while the fragmented CDs, shimmering in hues of blue, yellow, white, and brown, create a mesmerizing kaleidoscope. This
glacier-inspired artwork embodies artistic up cycling, prompting curiosity and engagement with its unconventional material choices
and captivating presentation.
Untitled (Line and Space) Sculpture (2024)
Mazopal Design, Mardline Prevot
Materials

Description:
The sculpture features a circular base and presents a myriad of tree elements. Within this mesh, a diverse collection of objects can be observed: a plastic bottle covered in blue paint, a tie-dye headband, sunglasses frame material, sticks, straws, wire cable, fabrics, wires, chipotle cover, leather, and cloth. Connects to the mesh and various colored cables emanating from the sculpture add complexity. The wires notably connect to items such as wire cables. The arrangement of the sculpture suggests a deliberate and intricate art piece.
Untitled (Repetition and Change) (2024)
Mazopal Design, Mardline Prevot
Materials

Description:
I created this work to raise awareness about the issue of plastic pollution. The plastic bottles represent the vast amount of plastic in our oceans yearly. The different sizes and shapes of the bottles represent the different types of plastic pollution. The text ‘Polluted Water’ is a reminder of the devastating impact that plastic pollution has on our marine life.

Untitled (Mass, Material, Meaning, and Emotion) Sculpture (2024)
Mazopal Design, Mardline Prevot
Materials

Description:
My inspiration for this sculpture came from two ideas: the yin and yang symbol, and the desire to give new life to discarded materials. The yin and yang symbol represents the balance between opposing forces, which is something I find very inspiring. It reminds me that there is balance even in chaos, and that light and dark need each other.
For the materials, I used bottle caps, foam board, metal scraps, and discarded glass. Each material has its own unique history and qualities. Bottle caps, which were once symbols of consumption, are reborn as intricate pieces of the yin and yang symbol. Foam board, a lightweight and versatile material, is sculpted into the base, providing structure. Metal scraps, which are often thrown away, are transformed into dynamic accents. Discarded glass, with its fragility and brilliance, embodies the yang principle within the sculpture.
