We collaborated with the Ireland-based company "Nutri-Stop" (https://nutristop.com) to create an innovative vending machine. The entire electronic system for this machine has been meticulously designed by our team. Additionally, we've incorporated the "Stripe" terminal into the device, a technology not yet introduced in Pakistan, to facilitate seamless payments. Our use of components such as Onion Omega2s+, ESP32- S2, BMS (Battery Management System), eMMC chips, RGB LEDs and strips, load cells, LCD, and a battery further contributes to the advanced features of the vending machine.
The incorporation of the "Stripe" terminal introduces advanced payment capabilities to the vending machine. This technology, not yet introduced in Pakistan, facilitates seamless and secure electronic transactions, providing a modern and convenient payment experience for users. The electronic system of the vending machine relies on powerful microcontrollers such as Onion Omega2s+ and ESP32-S2. These microcontrollers serve as the brains of the machine, managing various functions and ensuring efficient operation. The inclusion of a Battery Management System (BMS) is a strategic choice, emphasizing efficient power management and ensuring the longevity and safety of the machine's power source. This feature contributes to the overall reliability and sustainability of the vending machine. The utilization of eMMC chips enhances data storage and retrieval capabilities, providing a reliable and high-performance solution for managing the machine's software and data storage needs. The incorporation of RGB LEDs and strips adds a visually appealing and customizable aspect to the vending machine. This feature not only serves an aesthetic purpose but can also be leveraged for informative or interactive displays. Load cells play a crucial role in accurately measuring and dispensing products. These sensors enable precise and reliable control over the quantity of items dispensed, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the vending machine. The LCD display serves as the user interface, providing a clear and interactive platform for users to make selections and receive information. This component enhances the user experience and contributes to the overall usability of the vending machine. The inclusion of a battery further emphasizes the vending machine's portability and versatility. It allows the machine to operate even in locations without a direct power source, expanding its potential use cases.
