An Afternoon Rippling

Inspired by visual novels and interactive fiction, An Afternoon Rippling is a text-based 2D adventure game about getting lost after your car breaks down. In your search for the elusive Mechanic, you have conversations with a series of mysterious individuals in a valley.

I created this game as my graduation project. The beta was released in 2016, and I published the final game in 2019.
"An Afternoon Rippling feels like every late-night bus ride on a too-hot summer’s evening."

"Every now and then you play a game which has a nearly indescribable impact on you and you are not even completely sure why."

"It's weird, it's funny...well worth playing for the strange characters and scenarios and how well-written each of them is."

"It reminded me that the best adventures often happen when the guidebook is blank and your itinerary empty."

"Green pastures. Watching the horizon rise and fall as the wind swirled through the wheat, an afternoon rippling with curling lines of rain. The color of the earth, the smell of alfalfa and bread. A town that smelled like spilled honey…"
