Logo, mascot and branding for a 1950s-themed bakery specializing in French macaroons, cocktail inspired treats and sassy fortune cookies for single, twenty-something ladies. This was a LOT of fun to make!

The client was inspired by the 1950s diner & bakery branding, including Tiffany blue and bright pink and yellow hues.

Originally, the client requested a mascot inspired by retro / rockabilly / 1950s pinup artwork. The idea of a June Cleaver style girl, sitting on a couch and eating ice cream, with rollers in her hair, was originally discussed.

Ultimately, the client decided to lose the hair rollers and go with a 1950s classic hairstyle that was a lot cleaner and translated better into the logo and mascot. This image is a central part of the Bittergirl Sweets brand.
