For this Assignment we were tasked with Illustrating a section of a short story
I picked "Transported to another world" out of the 3 choices
This is a world in which all things are made of luminescent planes of color. This world is lit by suns and moons of exquisite light. Some of these planar structures are of one color and as you move past them you see that the planes of color change smoothly and seamlessly from dark to light, influenced by the sun and moon.
Other structures are made of flat planes that are not only of differing sizes and shapes but of different intensities of single hues. Tints of transparent color overlay one another creating strangely indefinable delicacies of tone.
As you move through this world of structure you notice that some planar elements seem to be of natural formation, and some seem to have been to created according to plan of function. The color of the natural structures is created by the blending of one hue into another; each facet contains smooth spreads of color from warm to cool in a myriad of tints.
While walking between these formations you are aware of your small stature within this world. You also sense the influence of a warm sun and a cool moon, casting their light from opposite sides, reflecting from the faceted objects surrounding you.
In some places you can see through this city of structure, and you glimpse a distance landscape of rolling hill and even more distant mountains, but it is only a glimpse, and you are not even certain of what you saw.
