Roll Initiative is a thrilling and fast-paced tabletop party game crafted for 3-6 players. It strikes a perfect balance between simplicity and strategy, featuring rules that are easily grasped, allowing players to dive into the excitement within minutes.
The objective of the game is to roll your die and survive through round-based turns by rolling a higher number than your companions. Each player wields a character card that gives them unique abilities, such as the power to influence another player’s roll, boost their own roll, or make other players drink.
To make the game even more interesting, when losing a round you don’t just lose your life, you must drink it. Each round of the game offers a unique experience with endless combinations of rolls and abilities. Only one can claim victory and as long as your cups are filled to the brim, it’s considered anyone’s game!

Roll Initiative has been a concept for some time now, but it has only recently entered the development phase over the past year. The game came to fruition when a passionate graphic designer joined forces with some down-to-earth friends who shared a love for medieval games and the joy of staying in on weekends with a few drinks. This project has been quietly brewing in the background, and now, with your support, we are excited to finally share it with you all.
We’ve already done the dirty work of completing and thoroughly testing the game’s rules, assets, and design. We’re eager to share our game with you as soon as possible, which is why we’re reaching out for assistance in covering the production costs. We just need to reach our Kickstarter goal to produce it. After some final touches to ensure everything is perfect, our game will be ready to make its way into your game room or local tavern.
Although we have completed the artwork for the game, some adjustments may be made to the game’s text, including rules and abilities, while the core components of the game will remain the same.
Roll Initiative is a game that can provide a night of fun-filled adventure or serves as the perfect way to kick off your game night with some drinks and laughter. While the game was initially designed with beer in mind, you can customize your beverage choices to suit your preferences. Although the game was originally created with a particular beverage in mind, you have the freedom to modify your drink preferences according to your liking. The best experience is usually achieved when using a large wooden stein, but if this item is not in your inventory, it is up to you to get creative. Opting for non-alcoholic alternative beverages is always a good choice. Be cautioned to take it easy, and tomorrow morning you will thank your past self.
Our goal is to deliver Roll Initiative on January 1, 2025 (but obviously we’re shooting for earlier). Please note that shipping is not built into the pledge price. Shipping prices will vary depending on your location. We ask that you please double check and verify your shipping information is correct. It is your responsibility to confirm that your order information is accurate and updated. If we ship to the address you provide, and the package is returned to us as undeliverable, you will be required to pay the full shipping cost to receive your pledge at a different address. If the tracking status shows as delivered, but it is lost or stolen after delivery, you may be required to pay the full cost to ship the order again. If your shipment is held in customs, you may be required to contact your customs agency or government and arrange for the package to be cleared and released at your expense. We are not responsible for any additional customs fees, refunds, or reshipments due to customs or a government agency involvement. If you’re missing part of your order and it cannot be fulfilled for some reason, we will provide you with a prorated refund for that portion of your order. Depending on where you live, other fees may apply. We are currently unable to ship to Russia, Ukraine, South America, Iran, Iraq, Syria Nigeria, Pakistan, Belarus, and Afghanistan.
After pledges are collected, Roll Initiative will not offer refunds for any purchases made through Kickstarter.
We accept returns within 30 days of purchasing a product on our website if there is a print defect or if the product was damaged in shipping.
Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
In order to make a return, you must first contact our customer service team at RollInitiativeHelp@gmail.com with a detailed reason for why you are making the return.
Returned items must be unopened, and in the original condition—including tags, booklets, and labels.
