Gratitude

For this assignment in my Layout & Composition course, we were assigned the task of designing and creating a thank you card. Which was a process that required a few steps to complete, such as creating a mood board, performing a number of sketches, designing the card digitally, and then finally printing it as well.
Mood Board and Sketches
For the mood board we were required to find at least five inspirations for what a thank you card should and could look like, then needed to provide twenty-seven sketches for a design. I decided to think of about nine different subjects, and base three designs off of them. Like the three sketches related to fruit, the three related to the moon and the sun, etc.
Mockups
After digitally designing and printing the card, we created both digital and physical mockups for the card. The digital mockup (image on the right) was created using Photoshop. Then after printing we set our cards up and took pictures of all sides of the card, both the back and front cover, as well as the inside design.
Final Design
Above is the final design of my custom card, the outside being the image on the left, and the design on the right is the inside design for the card.
