The prompt was to create a restaurant menu containing at least six menu items and utilizing icons. I chose to create a menu for a coffee shop. I used a simple design made up of rectangles and lines to give it a modern feel and matched this with a classic-looking typeface. I chose the main background color because it matches the coffee theme and paired this with the gray accent color to create a sense of balance and distinction. For the icons I used simple vector illustrations to show if each menu selection is available hot or iced. This simple illustration further enhances the modern feel of the menu. My original design did not include lines under each heading or lines connection each menu item with its price. I added these in order to emphasize the direct relationship to each price and the separation between each section of the menu.
