SPECIALIST LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHY

 DERELICTION FREELANCE AND SPORT
I edited the RAW files in Lightroom and later in Photoshop so I could adjust the brightness and contrast to give the pictures more depth.
I present final images that I have created working in Northern Ireland.
I present final images that I have created working in Silent Valley located in Newcastle.
I feel that my ability to critique my own images has improved. I know what works in an image and what could be improved even if I don’t necessary have the advanced skills to fix the areas for improvement. My skills will develop over time.
The landscape photographs were powerful because of the light of the sky and the clouds, these changed constantly. I used UV and PL filters to achieve details in the sky.
I thought the good point of these images were:
Great clouds added great depth to the image.
The images showed up the scale of the moors.
The compositions I thought worked well and made the viewers look at the point of my intention.
If I was going to reshoot the photos again I would consider:
I would like to revisit at a different time of the day and capture a sunrise.
On the moors, I would like wait longer to see what the light was later in the day and to capture a sunset.
Going forwards I have really enjoyed this project on a number of levels and I feel free that I have achieved a lot of what I had originally set out to achieve.
