PRED's Coffee Bar Brand Identity

I'm Miranda Berger, a Graphic Design student at the University of Illinois: Urbana-Champaign, and for my Type and Image class, we were asked to create a restaurant from scratch and come up with their entire brand identity
The first task was to create a mood board and mission statement: my goal was to create a coffee shop with an inviting atmosphere , catered to the students
When it came to creating a logo, I knew that I wanted it to be innovative and represent the overall aesthetic of my coffee shop. I made two logos in color, black, and white versions
I found that there were multiple opportunities to create forms of media that we weren't asked to do as part of the class. However, I felt that my brand would benefit from the extra

Menu design is a very important aspect of a restaurant's identity, so I wanted to make sure that mine was informative and clear for the customer. I also included a diagram, since sometimes ordering coffee can be confusing
We also had to creative two interactive email designs, so I wanted to continue the identity I had established and still make the designs engaging for the viewer.
Finally, we had to make "food passports" using not only our restaurant, but also featuring the work of our classmates. I thought it would be interesting to make it look like an actual passport, and I also wanted it to be interactive, so I included a place to rate and take notes of the places they visited. I also designed "stamps" which would be stickers included in the front of the passport.
