Young Entrepreneur Summit (YES!) 2024
Western Downs Regional Council successfully brought back the Young Entrepreneur Summit (YES!) to Chinchilla on February 14, 2024, in collaboration with the Australian School of Entrepreneurship. YES! aimed to inspire and empower young leaders by equipping them with essential skills and confidence to pursue their dreams. Building on last year's success, with nearly 300 participants from local schools, this year's event was even more impactful.
As the Communications and Marketing Officer at Western Downs Regional Council, I assisted ASE in putting together a comprehensive marketing campaign to promote the return of the Young Entrepreneur Summit (YES!).
Here's a detailed list of deliverables I took lead on for this campaign:
Social Media Campaign
I initiated a focused social media campaign employing both organic and paid posts. Leveraging the vision captured at the previous year's event, I aimed to re-engage past attendees while captivating those who hadn't yet experienced the summit, enticing them to explore the event's offerings.
Media Outreach
I drafted a press release highlighting the significance of the summit and its impact on the community. This press release was distributed to local newspapers, radio stations, and online news portals.
Email Marketing
I utilised the Council's monthly eNews to feature the event. This provided valuable information about the summit registration details, prompting recipients to participate.
Multichannel Approach
I utilised various communication channels such as Digital Billboards, TV Foyer Screens, and Council's website to provide information about the event.
Event Videography and Photography
During the event, I captured both video and photo footage to showcase the highlights. Post-event promotion is crucial as it extends our reach, sustains community engagement, and reinforces the council's commitment to empowering youth and driving economic growth.
