I participated a workshop "INTERACTIVE CREATION CAMP" which was organized by I.C.E as a student attending the lecture. "Let's make new signages!", it was the assignment. We (29 attendances) divided into 5 teams and produced 5 digital signages with using one vertical monitor each.
My team presented "Smahorium"(Smartphone + Terrarium) which idea came from public recharge spaces of smartphones. It was only 4 weekends short term development which included a planning, but I have gotten a valuable experience to consider how to use new input devices which are Arduino, Kinect, parametric speaker and the like and to make a piece of work with new team mates.

It supposed displaying in public spaces such like cafes.
Normally "recharge" is an uninteresting action, but Smahorium functions as an interior by visualized it like foliage plants. The plants beginning to grow and coloring the display when users are starting smartphone recharge from the racks on the signage.
And we also developed the application (for iPhone) to give deep experiences for users. We realized synchronizing battery condition and the plants, and color changing system at the exhibition timing. In the future, we are supposing some offers for public recharge like "an introducing the nearest Smahoriums function of when your phone is low battery""Smahoriums setting map""a guide of Smahoriums are put places" and "displaying advertisement while recharge" etc.

I.C.Eが主催するワークショップ「インタラクティブ・クリエイション・キャンプ」に受講生として参加しました。課題は「あたらしいサイネージを、つくろう」。１台の縦型モニターを用い29人が5チームに分かれ、5つのデジタルサイネージ制作を行いました。
私が所属していたチームは、公共のスマートフォン充電スペースに着眼し「スマホリウム」（スマートフォン＋テラリウム）という作品を発表いたしました。企画も含めて4週末という短い期間でしたが、学生を含めた新しいチームで、ArduinoやKinect等の新しいインプットデバイスについて考え、実際に制作まで落とすことができたのは、大きな経験でした。

通常「充電」は味気のない行為ですが、スマホリウムでは観葉植物のように可視化することによりインテリアとしても機能。利用者がサイネージに設置した棚からスマートフォンの充電を始めると、植物が芽吹き画面を彩ります。
さらに利用者が更に深い体験ができることを念頭に、専用アプリ（for iphone）のモックも開発しました。展示段階での専用アプリには、電池残量と植物ビジュアルの正確な同期と色選択の要素を盛り込んでいます。将来的には「充電残量減少時の近距離スマホリウム紹介機能」「設置場所一覧」「設置施設の情報」、「充電中の広告表示」等、街中充電の仕組みの提供を考えています。
