Niche is a dedicated learning platform catered to get students into creative coding. We want to show students how effective combining both traditional graphic design with creative coding can be, and how it can breathe life into projects through interactive experiences.
WEB PLATFORM - The main focus of the project lies within a specialized website where students are able to experiment with effective creative coding through an interactive code playground, visualizing how the code works, and provided with the complete source code in a digestible format. Students are then taught the core concepts of creative coding in the specific learning section, allowing them to apply their knowledge and learn first hand how to incorporate into their own projects. Focusing on interaction, the site is built from the ground up with a focus on combining a refined graphic design process with intuitive custom built software and flawless interactive user experience. A real time design program focused around combining expressive coding practices with a traditional poster format allows viewers to intersect both art and code, saving their unique patterns quickly and easily.
CODE WORKSHOP - Through a scheduled creative coding event, viewers can learn more about code in the real world, and learn what their future could look like from industry professionals. With a dedicated wayfinding system, clear schedule and a neat little invite, Niche allows for a streamlined experience focusing on clarity and digestibility.
CAMPAIGN - A simple yet effective campaign covering merchandise, digital advertisements, 3D renders, bill boards, animation and social media promotes the positives of the platform, and tells viewers that no other platform offers what Niche can.
IDENTITY - A carefully crafted identity based around segmentation and minimalism allows for the most digestible format as possible, ensuring viewers are not overwhelmed and no unnecessary fluff is present. Through the visual language of a Venn diagram the logo form represents a carefully refined traditional graphic design process; intersected with a quick, expressive pixelated form, showing how the platform resides in a Niche © between both code and art.
