Tower of the Seven Cloaks

In 1307, the Tower of the Seven Cloaks, also known as the Maiden's Tower, was built.
Until 1723, the tower was a place where convicts were imprisoned.
In its long history, it served various useful functions, including the seat of the Szczecin Banner of the Knights and Hospitallers of St. Lazarus from Jerusalem.
In 1954, the Tower was entered into the register of immovable monuments.
It is 9 m high and its diameter is 3.6 m. It has 3 floors, including a lower basement with a height of 4.7 m and a ground floor.
The name of the Tower comes from the Maiden's Gate built in 1307 leading to the Cistercian nunnery.
It is a symbol of the city of Szczecin, often used on emblems, flags, logos and symbols of various institutions.
