This composition was created for an assignment that instructed each student to create a portion while experimenting with shading. I only used graphite pencil for this composition and I added a lot of details in terms of shading. I wanted to create depth so I added shadows to the figure's face, eyelids, underneath the nose and chin. I also made the shadows in the ear much darker to create a sense of realism.
