Berlin Olympic Games 2036
The Brief
For this project, we are tasked with designing the brand elements for a 2036 Summer Olympic host city that's selected at random. The branding elements include the Olympic logo, icons for eight assigned sports, signage, layouts for tickets, a deck pass, and apparel.
Design Statement
I was tasked with designing an Olympic logo for Berlin, Germany. To get started, I conducted research on popular landmarks and attractions that represent the city. I discovered that many historic buildings would be attractive to tourists, and I also researched colors, food, culture, and symbols associated with Berlin.
Therefore, my logo is inspired by the Reichstag Building, the parliament building viewed from the inside.
I used the colors of the German flag in my logo, which is associated with the blue and green of Berlin.
I design pictograms, accreditation cards, tickets, merchandise, and banners based on the logo to create unity.
The mascot of this Olympic game is a bear. The Berlin Bear serves as the city's emblem, representing its rich history, resilience, and unity.
