For my illustrated letterform, I used the letter “A” in the Cubano font and the theme of arcade games to design a retro arcade machine. In the design, the positive space shows the physical structure of the machine, including its panels, controls, and coin mechanism, while the negative space is the screen. I used an analogous color palette, with a light orange as my initial color to help convey the retro style.
