Baby Quilt
The objective of this project was to learn to create a collection of repeating patterns and design a baby quilt.
This project challenged me creatively as I was able to experiment with hand drawing my own motifs and symbols to then transforming them into vectors. With this new avenue, I was able to achieve the goal my patterns looking more sketched and organic. I also wanted to choose a calm color scheme that did not lean to far masculine but also complimented the overall theme of a serene desert oasis. This idea of serenity also influenced my use of textures as pattern rather than solely relying on the hand-drawn motifs. The unity and serenity that exists in this quilt design makes this the perfect quilt to grow with your little one.
