ART 230 - Project 1: Designing with Glyphs

In this assignment, I played with negative space, asymmetry, and glyphs to create interesting compositions. The one on the left used a sans serif font, and the right one used a serif font. By using glyphs with similar anatomy, I formed intricate shapes that draw viewers in. I also strategically used alignment and focal points keep viewers engaged. Contrast also gives both composition a sense of depth. I learned how to balance visual elements and tell stories with typography.
