The products of blue-dyeing and cyanotype seem similar, but they have different formation principles and applicable materials .

 

Blue-dyeing can just use by fabrics， cyanotype  is suitable for a wider range of materials, such as wood, glass, paper, etc.

And blue-dyeing's principle is have oxidation in the air, But cyanotype has chemical reaction in sunshine.

 

Therefore, I can break through the limitation of materials by using blue-drying, and express traditional blue dyeing patterns in the form of cyanotype.
