Final Piece 2 - Framed Photograph
Before printing off my photograph to put in the frame I had to make sure that the size I was printing off was right, so, once I opened the back of the frame I got the white piece of paper which goes behind the image and measured it, making sure to remember how wide and tall the paper was.

After I measured it I opened photoshop to import the image into it, however, before importing the image I had to make the document the same size that the piece of paper was. I changed the measurement type to centimeters and changed the width to 41 and the height to 30.5. Then I created the document.
Once the document was created I imported the photo onto it, making the image larger to compensate for the bigger surface area as the original image is in an A4 size. Unfortunately I did have to cut off the sides slightly to make it fit properly, but I don't think you can tel without looking at the original photo. After this was done I went onto Layer and fully flattened the image, I did this so I can edit the document while saving it and turn it into a different format. The format I changed it into was a Photoshop document. This way I am able to print them off onto the textured paper.
Paper Types
Before printing I had to decide what type of paper I wanted to print it on, so I did some research! Below are examples of the 3 different types of paper which I got to choose from. The first is matte, with the matte paper it doesn't have any shine and is all around quite bland, I knew straight away that I wouldn't want to use this one to print onto. I do quite like how the texture of the paper feels but that upside would be good for a book, not a framed print.

The next paper is oyster! The oyster paper is my favourite out of the 3 because of the slight shine. It's not too shiny like how the gloss paper is but it's also not too plain like the matte paper. Its perfect! Also Because it's not too shiny the reflection on the glass in the frame won't counter it and make it look odd.

Finally is the gloss! I feel like the shine on this one is too much to couple with the glass, as I already explained. I love the feel of the paper but much like with the matte this won't be a positive in this outcome since the work will be hidden behind glass.
Now it's time to put the whole thing together. Once I printed off the photo it had some white around the edges because the frame isn't a full A3 size. So I had to cut off the edges to make it fit, but, thanks to me measuring how big the photos are supposed to be in this frame earlier the pieces which I didn't need were normal white paper so I just cut out the white.  After it was done the photo on the left is what it looked like and the empty frame is shown on the right. The next step was to simple put it together which doesn't take long.
And here is the final result! To take his photo I put the frame on a plain white background. I love the outcome and the wooden frame. The frame relates to the image quite a lot. Since the image is of a forest it has a lot of trees around it. I just wish the frame was maybe a darker piece of wood.
