Gestalt in design is a theory of visual perception that refers to how human beings, when looking at groups of objects or words, automatically begin to group said objects or words in their minds to make them easier to comprehend. This theory makes it possible to incorporate unity and variety into a design. Using text taken from the website futureme.org, we have constructed several examples of the Gestalt Theory in action. These examples prove how the theory can incorporate unity using color as well as variety using the theory itself. The project incorporates two parts: first is the cover utilizing the principle of closure and the second are the four examples of the principles of figure/ground, continuance, proximity, and similarity.
