This finalist proposal re-contextualizes the Haymarket Memorial by siting the historic statue of a lone policeman upon a new sculptural base fractured by societal tumult over the last century of Chicago history, referencing key events, catastrophes and tragedies related to individual lives.
To be constructed from an existing historic statue, inscribed granite, mirror-polished stainless steel, concrete.
