An old collection of work that was originally made to a be a series with my first image below. Each of the images plays off an obscure quote that defined a key moment in the orginial tale of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie.

Idea was to take quotes from the tale and create scenery that complements its so that in store it will be more open to interpretation in my own way.
“I suppose it's like the ticking crocodile, isn't it? Time is chasing after all of us.”
― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

This piece was showcased Oct 28th, 2013 in a exhibition titled: "Depth and Breadth: Highlights of the Art Department"

This was an exhibition of the best student work from the last 3 years of the Appalachian State University's Department of Art to present to the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (aka NASAD). This is the accrediting body for the Art Dept., and the design components of the Tech Dept. NASAD develops the educational standards for Art and Design across the nation. Additionally, is as well the organization that gives acredidations to various schools of art and design that in turn helps Graduate schools and employers in art and design place a higher value on degrees from accredited schools such as mine.
“Do you know," Peter asked, "why swallows build in the eaves of houses? It is to listen to the stories.”
― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
“Feeling that Peter was on his way back, the Neverland had again woke into life. We ought to use the pluperfect and say wakened, but woke is better and was always used by Peter.”
― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
Smee: Pan did you a favor, did he, Captain?
Captain Hook: A favor? He threw my hand to a crocodile, the beast liked it so much, it`s followed me ever since, licking its lips for the rest of me... YOU CALL THAT A FAVOR?
― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
