In Design I: Elements and Organization, students were given the assignment to "pull" key elements from the composition of a well known realistic or impressionistic painting using line. Then we were to create analagous and complementary color schemes of our refined composition, trying to repeat the values. I drew from Rembrandt's "Philosopher in Meditation".
