Art Exhibit Structure

Rain Room Art Exhibit Building
Project 2.0 was to make a building proposal to the Sheldon Art Museum to house a popular art exhibit.  Cost is not an issue but the building must relate to the art and its designers.
The Rain Room, developed by rAndom INTERNATIONAL was the pop cultural art piece I was assigned to research and design for.  The art work was not to be modified in any way.  The project simply asks to design a building to house the art exhibit.  The art work above is not my work.  It was developed by rAndom INTERNATIONAL and debuted at the Barbican in London.
The Sheldon Art Museum is said to be funding the project and they would like to keep the exhibit on campus relatively close to the museum.  The assignment also asked that the built structure does not take away from any existing buildings and must beautify the area in which it is built.  The site I selected was located on top of a parking garage on campus.  Parking garages are not asthetically pleasing so adding to it would not make it less appealing.
