In my patterns class during my time at Nanyang Technological University we learned to make dynamic patterns by scaling, turning, and repeating our created motifs. I decided to use hand painted elements in order to express softness and lightness.
Our first assignment after creating these motifs was to create a long banner to be printed and displayed in the ADM building.
Our second assignment was to create many different patterns and incorporate them into a 3d element as shown in our swatch book.
