Transform for Gaming World

I chose Corey Barker’s Gaming World technique of adding grain and posterizing to create this project.
I used separate layers for sky, beach/ocean and my dad so I would have more control of the individual pieces. I converted the layers to smart filters to enable me to adjust my styles. I first used surface blur to soften the edges, then I added a grain speckle filter. I posterized the ocean layer more than any other layer. I used paint daubs with a wide blurry brush for the sky. I used soft light, overlay, and normal for my layer blending modes.
I decided to add a cutout effect to make it more like a poster.
